The groupe Charlois and the Origine France Garantie certification
21 June 2019
Having been committed to a continuous traceability approach for many years, the Charlois Group has proudly held the Origine France Garantie certification since December 2013 for its stave mills, cooperages, and barrel factories.
TheOrigine France Garantie (OFG) certification was created in 2010 following the report by Yves Jégo, En finir avec la mondialisation anonyme in which a significant reflection was carried out on the definition and use of the “French Brand.”.
The Origine France Garantie (OFG) certification, simple and easily understood by all, is the result of efforts by stakeholders who aim to promote “Made in France” and the recognition of French industrial and artisanal expertise. Currently, around 600 companies across various sectors have obtained the OFG certification, representing more than 2,000 products.
The Pro France association, which promotes the Origine France Garantie label, is made up of business leaders who support this initiative. Its objective is, on one hand, to provide consumers with clear information about the origin of a product and, on the other hand, to allow companies that undergo this certification process to highlight their production. Origine France Garantie is currently the only certification that verifies the French origin of a product by providing an objective indication of its provenance..
