Discover the workshops of Maison Charlois, where oak staves (merrains) are split and prepared for coopers to craft oak barrels. Explore the stave-aging yards, where staves undergo a critical 24-month minimum maturation period, essential for their oenological quality.
Continue your journey at Manufacture tonnelière La Grange where you will witness the age-old craftsmanship of master coopers. Marvel at their meticulous work as they shape and hand-hoop barrels from the finest oak staves.
Conclude your visit with a tasting workshop, where you will savor wines aged in oak barrels. Rediscover the subtle nuances and learn about the contributions of oak to the art of winemaking.
