A new series of documentaries dedicated to wine and broadcasted on a web TV has been launched: “Wine Masters”. Season 1, out of 7 planned, is dedicated to French vineyards.
Since March 18, you can connect to the web TV “winemasters.tv” to discover the 5 episodes of Season 1 of the new documentary series “Wine Masters“. Klaas de Jong, Dutch producer but also connoisseur of wines, invites you in this first season to discover five of the French vineyards: Loire, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Alsace and Rhone Valley.
The producer wanted to tell the story of each of these regions, these grape varieties and these famous soils, through 45-minute reports in big estates or at the emblematic families of these vineyards: Château Angélus for Bordeaux on Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties, as well as Merlot, at Guigal for the Rhone Valley with Syrah and Viognier, Henri Bourgeois in Sancerre for Sauvignon Blanc, Joseph Drouhin in Beaune for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and Trimbach family in Alsace for Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris. Two “masters of wine” are also used in the various films to bring “their knowledge and their vision”.
In total, seven seasons have been programmed. The second one, which will also count 5 episodes, will take place in Italy. Its production has started in February 2018.
