Forêts en scène 2023 – Académie du Climat, Paris

In celebration of the International Day of Forests 2023, the Charlois Group is partnering with the ONF for the Forêts en scène event at the Académie du Climat in Paris from March 17 to 19.

This event features a variety of activities and events to honor and explore the wonders of forests, including:

Conferences and artistic encounters

Craftsmanship in Action: Cooperage Demonstrations

The master coopers of the Manufacture Tonnelière La Grange will showcase their expertise, walking you through the steps of crafting an oak barrel:

Shaping staves (planing, jointing)

Raising the barrel

Bending

Toasting over a brazier

Assembling and hooping

Witness the centuries-old skills of these exceptional artisans, whose handcrafted barrels are made from the finest oak stave wood.

Exploring the World of Oak

In one of the beautiful rooms at the Académie du Climat, the Charlois Group will present its wide range of oak-related activities, showcasing how this extraordinary wood is transformed into barrels, cosmetics, and even unique wooden structures.

To enhance your visit, treat yourself to a facial mini-treatment with La Chênaie’s oak-based cosmetic products (by appointment). Even without an appointment, our team will gladly guide you through the experience.
