Monumental Forest near Rouen, Normandy

Initiated by the city of Rouen in partnership with the ONF, the Monumental Forest is a land art itinerary along wich 13 monumental works are placed. Those works of art help us to understand forest differently.

Opened in September 2019, Monumental forest invites people to discover 13 works of art as 13 views of humanity’s relationship to nature.

For example, François Arnawout offers to connect people to trees with Silva Connection. Thomas Voillaume confronts the visitor with himself with Face à face and Fredrik Raddum offers to listen to nature with A piece of conversation.

These are all varied experiences which invite us to think about our relationship with nature and how the environment responds to our actions.
