Enhancing the Value of Oak

Unfolding the Full Potential of Oak

Through its Houses established in France, Scotland, Spain, Romania, and the United States, BLACK OAK is a leading player in cooperage dedicated to wines and spirits. Its craftsmanship also extends to a range of activities that enhance oak across diverse fields — design furniture, structural timber, and remarkable wooden structures. Oak also inspires cosmetics through La Chênaie, which highlights other components of the tree such as bud, leaf, and sap.

BLACK OAK brings together the full spectrum of the value chain: forestry, sawmilling, stave milling, cooperage, large oak casks, engineering, design, and transformation. This integration includes extending the life of barrels and developing oak products for œnology. It is grounded in responsible resource management and in the expertise of the teams within its Houses.

The organization benefits from an agri-food laboratory and a Research & Innovation department, where tradition and scientific advancement meet to enhance oak in all its forms. Hospitality is part of this culture, with dedicated spaces in each House to welcome, transmit, and share.

BLACK OAK deploys the value of oak through the diversity of its applications and the excellence of its craftsmanship.
