Designer and art-joiner, Philippe Mathieu excels for more than 30 years in building and fitting out wine cellars, tasting rooms, wineries, oenology laboratories or private places linked to the universe of the wine.

Originally from the Rhône Valley, Philippe Mathieu shapes wood with passion and with high standards of quality and estheticism. He also likes to get off the beaten track by proposing projects with a strong identity but functional and perfectly integrated into their environment.

The Philippe Mathieu workshop combines the best of traditional craftsmanship values with a very strong emphasis on design and technology. The designer also draws a line of wine cellars accessories and tasting articles: “The idea behind IDWine Accessories was to offer craftsman-designed cellar implements. All the items in the collection are specifically designed for the world of wine. The design is contemporary and uncluttered, in stainless steel. And all items are as practical and useable as they are agreeable to the eye. Ergonomics is an important factor in the everyday work of the wine-growers, oenologists and other professionals who’ll be using these accessories.” Philippe Mathieu offers an extended range of accessories and projects for the fitting out of floor-space, thus coming up to the wine-growing professionals expectations.
