World Environment Day 2025 — Combating Plastic Pollution

Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and held every year on June 5 since 1973, World Environment Day is the world’s largest platform for environmental public awareness and is celebrated by millions of people worldwide.

Every everyday action counts when it comes to reducing our plastic consumption. Reducing packaging is therefore one of Charlois’ priority commitments. Our Houses continuously optimize their packaging to reduce its use while taking recyclability into account.

DELIVERIES IN FRANCE

Thanks to our transport and logistics company, CPL, we are able to limit packaging to the strict minimum. Depending on our clients’ needs, we offer three solutions:

  1. No packaging,
  2. Use of an individual / returnable sleeve,
  3. A thin PET film.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES

We use stretch PET film, mechanically optimized to reduce the amount of plastic used per barrel.
This film is essential to maintain barrel hygrometry and prevent drying during transport, which can last several weeks.

Reconciling technical excellence with environmental commitment is also our responsibility.
