The different modes of forestry: UNEVEN-AGED HIGH STAND
An uneven-aged high stand is characterized by a stand of trees with all stages of development, from seedlings to old high forest. This mixture can be more or less balanced in the different age and diameter classes.

An uneven-aged high stand is characterized by a stand of trees with all stages of development, from seedlings to old high forest. This mixture can be more or less balanced in the different age and diameter classes. This balance is sought in each parcel of the high forest and the entire forest in the case of uneven-aged high stand.

Uneven-aged high stand management provides constant production, thanks to a regular renewal of the stand linked to the presence of trees of all ages. The work carried out contributes to the renewal and maintenance of the wooded state over time. It makes it possible to keep the permanent vision of the forest cover, a perennial unit of landscape and guarantees the conservation of the local biodiversity.
