The 1.618 event - The New Luxuries

Since 2009, 1.618 Paris, a pioneer in “sustainable luxury”, has been selecting and showcasing the most inspiring and eco-conscious players in the fields of design, fashion, beauty, jewellery, gastronomy, mobility and travel.

Whether they are brands, raw materials or services, all initiatives are submitted for approval to a committee of independent sustainable development experts. In this age of greenwashing, this approach ensures that 1.618 and its visitors can rely on the trustworthiness and ethical credentials of the products and services on offer.

Something of a hybrid between an exhibition and a trade fair, this sixth edition, which will take place at the Carreau du Temple in Paris from 2 to 4 June 2023, is entitled “Les Nouveaux Luxes” (The New Luxuries) because it provides a demonstration of our era’s fundamental values of luxury which could be described as a responsible art de vivre: respect, preservation, heritage, know-how, creativity, innovation, emotion and sincerity.

These values are also those of the Charlois group, which will take part in this year’s event via two of its companies: La Chênaie, with its patented line of cosmetics using oak extracts, and La Cabane Perchée, which has been crafting unusual wooden constructions since 1999.

We hope to see many of you at this eco-designed event, whose circular scenography has been created using materials usually ignored by the luxury goods industry.

The event includes a lifestyle show, a contemporary art exhibition, a “laboratory of the future” and a series of conferences and round tables. All in all, expect a packed and varied programme dedicated to a responsible art de vivre!
