It’s brand new, just out, the first edition of Charlois magazine. It’s a condensed version of information about the group, its houses, news, art and culture, women and men. In this first number, we look at the Charlois family and its history through the centuries, from Jacques in 1657 to Sylvain today. It’s also about Murlin, the wooded village in the Nivernais region where Eugène established his business in 1928. It’s also about the forest, where it all began, the forest and the oak, that majestic tree, rare and precious, to which we owe so much.

Our professions, our know-how, are also rare and precious, like forestry, stave-making or cooperage. We are committed to promoting them, passing them on and sharing them. We want to share what drives us every day: our passion and deep respect for the forest and the oak. This magazine is an opportunity to showcase them, our employees, our partners and our customers, through reports, interviews and photos. However, translated into four languages, its main mission is to serve as a communication link between all our employees around the world, particularly in France, Romania, Spain, Scotland and the United States.

The biannual magazine is now available online and can be downloaded from our website in a section dedicated to our publications.

We hope you enjoy reading it.
