Nathalie Toussaint-Varin named Legal Director of OAK NATION
In the continuation of the measures to strengthen our corporate structure, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Nathalie Toussaint-Varin to the post of Legal Director of OAK NATION, the subsidiary of the Charlois Group that reunites all the trades relating to the forest and wine, such as forestry, sawmill operations, stave-making, cooperage, vat making, recovery and recycling of used oak barrels, the manufacture of oak products for oenology, transport and logistics, and engineering.
Nathalie will have responsibility for legal matters and support for all entities, in collaboration with the Group’s Executive Management team.
She is charged with the specific oversight of legal negotiations and matters of litigation, monitoring statutory matters pertaining to our holding companies, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and formalities, in close cooperation with the Director of Human Resources, the Finance Director and the Secretary General.
Following a postgraduate degree in Business and International Law, Nathalie specialised in intellectual property and competition law. With solid experience gained in France and abroad, both in law firms and as in-house advisor to businesses, she attaches particular importance to incorporating the legal dimension into strategic policy. She will liaise with the Group’s lawyers on all judicial matters, with particular attention to the legislative and administrative documentation of each company within the Charlois Group.
Integrating law into the heart of corporate strategy is a priority for Nathalie, as is raising awareness of environmental issues, to enable the Vigilance Plan to be a true strategic management tool.
