Festival "Les Nuits Des Forêts"

The Nuits des Forêts festival was born from a first edition, the Festival des Forêts in Île-de-France, created and supported by FIBOIS Île-de-France, the professional organization that has been bringing together stakeholders in the Île-de-France forest-wood sector since 2004: forest management actors, first and second-stage wood processing companies, organizations involved in wood construction (project owners, developers, local authorities), as well as actors in the wood energy sector.

In 2021, the event expanded to a national level. It is now co-organized by all the regional forest and wood interprofessional associations, united under the FIBOIS France network, along with cultural and artistic sector partners committed to ecological transition.

 

This festival is an invitation to explore the forests near you across France through intimate and immersive experiences, open-air activities by day and night, showcasing the forest’s multiple roles: environmental, productive, and recreational.

Nature experiences, collective actions in the forest, performances, artistic works, evening gatherings, and knowledge-sharing sessions led by foresters, wood professionals, engaged stakeholders, or scientists…

 

The Festival and Groupe Charlois

On this occasion, various activities will be organized by Groupe Charlois at the Murlin site on July 3 and 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Guided tours of the cooperage (reservation required), tasting workshops (reservation required: 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m.), an exhibition of forest photographs by Christophe Deschanel, a discovery of La Chênaie cosmetic products made with oak plant extracts, a climb to the top of the Sève tower to enjoy a unique panoramic view, a terrace with beverages and snacks available for purchase. …

Thanks to its geographical location, Murlin offers easy access to the prestigious Bertranges state forest for a delightful walk, either before or after your visit to the activities organized by Groupe Charlois.
