In the month of February the sleeping oaks accumulate their strength in the roots, where most of the sap is concentrated while waiting to awaken at the arrival of spring.

This year, even if the climatic conditions are exceptional, the oak is resistant to gusts of wind and heavy rainfall thanks to its lignin, the main constituent of wood, which guarantees robustness and waterproofness. The oak builds this strength over time.

The time to spring is coming soon with the sun, essential for the growth of the young oaks but also for the durabiliity of mature oaks that will reveal the best wood staves.
