The Museum of Hunting and Nature offered Éva Jospin a free hand, which she seized admirably by taking over the various spaces of the Guénégaud and Mongelas mansions with her baroque and fascinating universes, very often linked to the forest, which is her favorite theme.

This exhibition marks the tenth anniversary of the acquisition by the Parisian institution of a work by Éva Jospin entitled Forêt. This piece in wood and cardboard, 2.5 meters high, is the first work by the artist to enter a museum collection (2011).

This is how the first links, now obvious, were forged between the museum, which “exposes” the relationship between man, animal and nature through the ages, and the visual artist, whose works constantly echo nature and its wild and sublime beauty.

For this exhibition, Éva Jospin has imagined a grandiose work, Galleria, which unfolds in the form of a long and monumental vaulted passage that visitors are invited to cross.

Throughout this exhibition, cardboard (the artist’s favorite material) is omnipresent in the rooms of the Museum of Hunting and Nature. Depending on the treatment the artist has given it, the cardboard becomes in turn stone, forest, lace or marquetry as many sculptures to discover in this amazing museum. For a unique immersive experience in the universe of Éva Jospin!
