Groupe Charlois welcomed last week the main titles of Portuguese and Brazilian press, as well as the international TV channel SIC.

Groupe Charlois welcomed last week the main titles of Portuguese and Brazilian press, as well as the international TV channel SIC.

Following the devastating fires of last years in Portugal and the reorganization of the Forest Services, the major interest of these journalists’ trip concerned the ancestral management of the forests owned by the French state. The first meeting was therefore held in the forest with Cyril Gilet, agent of the National Forestry Office, for a detailed presentation of forestry and sustainable management of our forests and in particular that of the Bertranges Forest.

The 11 journalists then visited Maison Charlois (the Group’s historic company), Berthomieu / Ermitage cooperage, La Grange art of cooperage and Exact laboratory (food industry specialist). The journalists thus discovered a part of the Charlois Group, from the forest to the manufacture of barrels, and also La Chênaie cosmetic range.

The visit was punctuated by very nice tastings in partner vineyards, Henri Bourgeois (Chavignol), Michel Girard (Verdigny) and Vincent Pinard (Bué).

Just hearing her first name is enough to bring back the catchy Saïan Supa Crew hit released in the summer of 1999. Angela Teixeira has been part of the Tonnellerie Berthomieu Ermitage team since 2007 and will officially retire on August 1. A new chapter now begins, one she will enjoy alongside her husband, Gérard.
