Engaged for several months in a process of cultural and heritage enhancement, Groupe Charlois called on the expertise of Guillaume Tozer, cultural engineer, to accompany its projects. This mission has helped to confirm, thanks to the civil registry archives of La Nièvre, the close link between Charlois family, specialized in stave splitting for more than two centuries, and the Bertranges forest.

Groupe Charlois is currently involved in several major cultural projects, including the creation of an ex nihilo exhibition space with a strong emphasis on cultural heritage and contemporary creation, with this aim to give new life to the Bertranges’ territory. This daring cultural project will highlight Groupe Charlois’ newly- acquired art collection. Some monumental works will also be installed in the heart of Murlin village, offering access to culture to as many people as possible.

Every Thursday, an article will immerse you in the heart of the cultural news of Groupe Charlois while inviting you to discover our acquisitions and our artistic favorites. This section will also allow you to follow the development of the future exhibition space and share with Groupe Charlois its cultural values oscillating, like its activities, between tradition and modernity.
